The seminar covers proper preparation of proofs of service for summonses, subpoenas, writs, and service on opposing counsel, tenants and parties in small claims court. Other declarations, such as declarations re diligence and pleading form declarations will be covered. Affidavits of service that require notarization, required for service assignments originating in other states or foreign countries will be described.

Electronic signatures will be explained and demonstrated.

We will discuss the importance of signing declarations personally, and the laws governing perjury and forgery.

This seminar will benefit both the process servers who sign the document and the office staff who prepares them for a process server’s signature.
