Process Server Institute invites process servers, owners of attorney service agencies, private investigators and staff and other interested persons to a dinner and a criminal law presentation in San Mateo, CA on Thursday Evening, June 18, 2015 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
We have invited Mike Callagy, Esq. Deputy County Manager of the San Mateo, California to discuss and answer questions relating to criminal laws involving process serving. Mike is a lawyer, and spent 29 years with the San Mateo Police Department where he retired as the Deputy Chief of Police. He is eminently qualified to discuss the following topics (time permitting):
- Assault and Battery of a Process Server and felony enhancements
- Why not ALL assault and battery incidents against a process server are charged as a felony
- What to do when assaulted
- How and what to gather as evidence to prosecute (or defend) the case
